Hungarian investors build €2.7 mln sparkling wine plant in Romania
A consortium of Hungarian investors is building a €2.7 million sparkling wine plant in Carastelec, Romania, regional Hungarian language daily Krónika said on Thursday.
About half of the cost of the investment is covered by European Union funding, said vintner János Ambrus, who is heading the professional side of the investment.
The sparkling wine plant is expected to be completed by January 2013. From 2017, it is expected to turn out 120,000 bottles of sparkling wine and 90,000 bottles of conventional wine a year.
