Dreher Breweries is preparing for the summer season by introducing a new, blueberry-flavored beer, according to a press release sent to the Budapest Business Journal.

The brewery's latest product is available in the 0.5 l can format from the first half of May. Dreher Blueberry is made with two types of hops and has an alcohol content of 4%.

The new flavor marks Dreher's second foray into the dynamically growing market of fruit-flavored alcoholic beers, having debuted a sour cherry-flavored variant last year.

"We are surprising the category's fans with a new flavor that one of the favorites of Hungarian consumers. That's why I'm confident that the new Dreher Blueberry will be a bright spot in both the Dreher flavored alcoholic drink portfolio and the macrobrewery market. In the latter context, there will be a clear niche for the blueberry-flavored alcoholic variant," said Lívia Presits, senior brand manager at Dreher.
