Flight to Egypt lands here after bomb scare

A bomb scare caused German Condor Flugdienst airline’s Berlin-Hurghada flight to cancel its trip to Egypt and perform an emergency landing at Budapest Liszt Ferenc International Airport, but no bomb was found, according to reports.

The plane, which turned around near Belgrade, was escorted by two Hungarian fighter jets in its trip to Budapest.
The A321 aircraft with 130 passengers and a crew of seven landed at the Budapest airport today shortly after noon. The Hungarian Police searched the plane after it had landed, index.hu reported, adding that airport traffic was undisturbed.
MTI reported this afternoon that no bomb was found.
The airline is reportedly sending another plane to pick up the passengers stranded in Hungary, and will fly them to Egypt this afternoon.
