Report: Healthcare workers receive no pay

In Hungary

Tens of thousands of healthcare workers have yet to receive their pay from previous months, a delay that has chiefly affected nurses and ambulance crews working part-time or to supplement their pensions, Hungarian online daily nol.hu reported today.

The Hungarian State Treasury recently upgraded its IT system, which resulted in a payroll stoppage for the period of November 5 - 16, and further technical issues have lead to late or no payments being issued, nol.hu said.

An “unofficial” source told the paper that December payments could also be affected, due to the technical upgrade, and employees could only be paid for the period up to December 25, rather than for the full month, nol.hu reported.
