Mobile payments for parking grow 25% y-o-y in Hungary

Payment for parking via mobile phones rose by 25% in the second year of operation of the National Mobile Payment Company as compared to the first year, the company said yesterday, according to Hungarian news agency MTI.
Drivers in Hungary have paid their parking fees by phone almost 38 million times in the past two years, MTI reported.
Since the launch of National Mobile Payment Company on July 1 2014, the firm has been operating as a sole collector of parking fees through mobile phones, although the company also works with resellers, MTI said.
