Jobbik submits new proposal on helping troubled borrowers
Radical nationalist opposition party Jobbik submitted a new proposal to help households struggling to pay their mortgages, a Jobbik lawmaker told a news conference.
MP Szilvia Bertha said the Jobbik plan called for a safety net for borrowers so that they should no longer have to make repayments to their lender if they lose their collateral.
Furthermore, borrowers who cannot afford to pay a lawyer should have access to legal aid paid for by the state, she said.
Jobbik also wants a 2% ceiling enforced on the sales commission so as to ease a disproportionate burden on the seller.
