Romania and Bulgaria are most likely to join the EU in January 2007. The restrictions, however, will not be all encompassing, Kiss added. In fact, only self-employed people would feel them, he said, as Hungary would not prevent Hungarian businesses from employing Romanian and Bulgarian citizens. The ministry plans to make it easier for Romanians and Bulgarians to work in sectors of the economy where labor is in short supply, while restricting opportunities to work elsewhere. The ministry's proposal to this end will be submitted to professional organizations later in the week for comments, Kiss said. (Mti)
