Hungary sell-by dates to conform to EU standard

A decree by Hungary’s Rural Development Ministry will require sell-by dates on perishables to be printed in the order day-month-year from January 1, the ministry said on Friday.
The decrees aims to make the order of sell-by dates in Hungary conform to that in all of the other European Union member states.
At present, many sell-by dates on perishables in Hungary use the order year-month-day.
