Hungary mobile internet subscriptions up 107,000 in July

The number of mobile internet subscriptions in Hungary rose to 1,668,000 in July from 1,561,000 a month earlier, the National Media and Infocommunications Authority (NMHH) said on Wednesday.

The number of active mobile internet subscriptions – those who used the service at some time during the previous three months – climbed to 1,309,000 in July from 1,190,000 in June, NMHH said.

Mobile internet subscribers transferred 1,433,000 gigabytes of data in July, up from 1,339,000 in June.

 In terms of subscriber numbers, T-Mobile's market share fell to 47.37% in July from 48.68% in June. Telenor's share rose to 27.20% from 25.16% and Vodafone's share dropped to 25.43% from 26.16%.

In terms of active subscriptions, T-Mobile's share fell to 46.93% from 49.41%, Telenor's share rose to 27.72% from 23.50% and Vodafone's share declined to 25.35% from 27.09%.
