Energy Office approves EDFI acquisition of Démász

The Hungarian Electricity Office (MEH) has approved the acquisition of a stake exceeding 75% in electricity distributor Démász Nyrt by Electricite de France International (EDFI), Démász said on the website of the Budapest Stock Exchange (BÉT) on Friday.

Electricite de France International is making a buyout offer for Démász Nyrt, Hungary's largest power distributor, shares at a price of Ft 20,000 per share between September 25 and November 13. The Hungarian Electricity Office's (MEH) approval, however, is required for the acquisition of stakes exceeding 75% in electricity distributors.
Démász plans to delist the shares after the offer is completed. (Mti-Eco)
