Citibank, Shell issue co-branded MasterCard credit card

Citibank Zrt and Shell Hungary Zrt have issued a co-branded MasterCard credit card in Hungary, all three parties announced on Thursday.
Cardholders will get 3% of the value of their fuel purchases back and 1% of the price of other purchases made at Shell petrol stations.
The card is the third new credit card the bank has issued this year. Earlier, it launched a platinum card and a co-branded card with Hungarian airline Malév Zrt. Citibank controls about 20% of Hungary's credit card market in terms of the number of cards issued, but it has 40% of the market in terms of purchase value, marketing director Gábor Dávid said.
