Bidder withdraws complaint in M7 tender

A consortium of companies bidding to build a 35.5-kilometer section of the M7 motorway has withdrawn an appeal against the tender with the Public Procurement Arbitration Board (KDB), allowing a decision to be taken as soon as the coming week, the National Motorway Rt (NA), which called the tender, announced on Wednesday.

Work on the stretch could start as soon as August, NA said. The KDB suspended the procedure after Adria Consortium complained it had received the invitation to the negotiated procedure just a day before the deadline for bidding. The KDB also suspended the procedure in April.
NA noted it had decided on a negotiated procedure for the tender in order to cut costs.
The stretch was scheduled to be completed by December 2007, but the suspensions could push the deadline for finishing the project to 2008, NA said.
