Arzenal to split from Real supermarket chain - website

Supermarket company Arzenal plans to split off from the chain Real and launch its own brand in Hungary, gazdasag.hu said.

Arzenal, which generates more than one-third of Real stores’ revenue, has already agreed on the conditions of the split, gazdasag.hu said.

Arzenal employs about 900 people and has two logistics bases with a combined area of 25,000sqm. It has 300 business partners, including 240 franchise partners.

After the split, Arzenal will be the fourth-biggest Hungarian-owned supermarket chain.
