ÁAK publishes accelerated negotiated procedure for e-toll construction

In Hungary

Hungary's State Motorway Manager (ÁAK) on Tuesday published an accelerated negotiated procedure for the construction of an electronic toll system in the European Union's Tenders Electronic Daily (TED).

Hungary is to introduce an electronic toll system by July 1, 2013 at the latest under a recently published government resolution. The size of tolls in the new system will be determined by distance traveled.

The system at present uses vignettes valid for time increments. The government has allocated HUF 42 billion for the construction of the system.
