Virtuosos going international with Hiventures
Hungarian state-owned venture capital investment fund Hiventures will support the Virtuosos (Virtu贸z贸k) classical music competition format going international. Several renowned international music performers have already announced their support for the initiative.
The Hungarian TV talent show Virtuosos has proven highly successful and will benefit from the support of the Hiventures investment fund to stage three live performances this year, says a press release sent to the Budapest Business Journal.
Pianist Misi Boros will perform on September 7 in the Budapest Arena, while singer R茅ka Krist贸f, winner of the 2017 edition, will give her solo recital on June 20, performed previously in New York始s Carnegie Hall.
The third event will be the Master Concert on December 30, which will unite some of Hungary始s leading classical musicians: cellist Istv谩n V谩rdai, pianist J谩nos Bal谩zs, singer Erika Mikl贸sa, pianist Gergely Bog谩nyi, and conductor Gergely Kessely谩k.
According to the show始s website, the rights to Virtuosos have been acquired for versions in the U.S. and U.K. by production company Fulwell 73. In addition, Spanish opera legend Pl谩cido Domingo has now become a shareholder of Virtuosos.
