Ludwig Museum hosts Bauhaus centenary exhibition

The Ludwig Museum of Contemporary Art in Budapest is organizing an exhibition entitled “Bauhaus 100. Program for the Now – Contemporary Viewpoints,” which opens on April 10, the museum told the Budapest Business Journal in a press release.
The centenary exhibition is an attempt to look back and recall the unique modernist utopia of Weimar Bauhaus from a contemporary perspective. Founded by Walter Gropius in 1919 as an art workshop and school, Bauhaus is an important source and milestone of contemporary art.
The exhibition has been organized in cooperation with the Budapest Spring Festival, the press release notes.
