Hungary to hold startup competition for the first time
Get in the Ring, an initiative started by the Erasmus Centre for Entrepreneurship in 2009 with the aim of putting promising entrepreneurs from around the world in contact with investors, is scheduled to organize an event in Budapest for the first time on October 22.
Enterprise Hungary Nonprofit, the organizer of the Hungarian competition, said a jury, investors and an audience of 200 people will be able to decide which show-style presentations are the most convincing in each category.
The winning participant would be granted €23,000. This year more than 2,000 startups from 64 countries are taking part in the competition.
The event begins at 3pm and will be held at Károlyi-Csekonics Residence, District VIII. Múzeum utca 17. Register at www.getinthering.co/events/hungary/.
SUPPORT THE BUDAPEST BUSINESS JOURNAL
Producing journalism that is worthy of the name is a costly business. For 27 years, the publishers, editors and reporters of the Budapest Business Journal have striven to bring you business news that works, information that you can trust, that is factual, accurate and presented without fear or favor.
Newspaper organizations across the globe have struggled to find a business model that allows them to continue to excel, without compromising their ability to perform. Most recently, some have experimented with the idea of involving their most important stakeholders, their readers.
We would like to offer that same opportunity to our readers. We would like to invite you to help us deliver the quality business journalism you require. Hit our Support the BBJ button and you can choose the how much and how often you send us your contributions.
