Hungary to hold startup competition for the first time

Get in the Ring, an initiative started by the Erasmus Centre for Entrepreneurship in 2009 with the aim of putting promising entrepreneurs from around the world in contact with investors, is scheduled to organize an event in Budapest for the first time on October 22.

Enterprise Hungary Nonprofit, the organizer of the Hungarian competition, said a jury, investors and an audience of 200 people will be able to decide which show-style presentations are the most convincing in each category.

The winning participant would be granted €23,000. This year more than 2,000 startups from 64 countries are taking part in the competition.

The event begins at 3pm and will be held at Károlyi-Csekonics Residence, District VIII. Múzeum utca 17. Register at www.getinthering.co/events/hungary/.
