Hungary to hold series of events to mark 10th anniversary of 9/11

On the 10th anniversary of the September 11 terrorist attacks on the United States, Hungary will hold a series of events to commemorate the victims and highlight continuing efforts to fight terror, the Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Thursday, reports online portal Caboodle.hu.
Among the events will be a memorial concert in the Lutheran church on Deák tér in the presence of the occasion's main patron President Pál Schmitt and political and state leaders, as well as diplomats accredited to Budapest, the statement said. In addition, two international conferences will be held.
"Hungary actively participates in efforts directed against international terrorism," the statement said.
