The small spa town of Héviz in western Hungary, home to one of the largest thermal lakes in the world, is scheduled to host the Meeting of the Spas of Central Europe (SPACE) on October 1-3, the organizers of the event said today.

The event provides grounds for a business meetup, where service providers from the region can introduce themselves to potential partners from all over the world, representative of the tourism promotion agency of Héviz, Orsolya Horváth said.

She noted that representatives from Slovenia, Slovakia, Croatia, Czech Republic and Hungary have already registered for the event.

In previous years, more than 160 wellness and spa service companies participated at SPACE, Hungarian news agency MTI said, adding that this is the seventh time the event would be organized.
