Budapest ranks 10th on Globe Shopper City Index

Budapest has been ranked tenth on the Globe Shopper City Index, a gauge compiled by the Economist Intelligence Unit for Global Blue.
"Budapest offers some of the world’s most celebrated architecture, boating on the Danube, and open green spaces," according to the Globe Shopper City Index. Among the Hungarian capital’s advantages, the index puts "reasonably priced cuisine, affordable hotels, a safe atmosphere and a wide choice of boutiques".
Among the challenges for shoppers to Budapest it notes "limited store hours and languages" and "a chance of encountering counterfeit goods".
Budapest was among 33 European cities ranked on the list. London led the ranking, followed by Madrid and Barcelona.
