Regional agency allocates HUF 8 bln for industry development
About HUF 8 billion is available for industry development in the Southern Hungarian Great Plain region, project manager of regional development agency DARFU, János Dobi said on Tuesday.
Of the HUF 8 billion, HUF 3 billion is available for setting up new industries, while HUF 5 billion is set aside for developing existing industrial sites, Dobi said. The former might pay out between HUF 100 million and HUF 1 billion for an application and can cover up to 50% of costs, the latter is available between HUF 10 million and HUF 100 million and can cover at most 20% of costs. The agency expects 20 new workplaces from the funding.
DARFU determined the amount based on previous experiences. Both grants attract about 100 tenders from the region every year.
