Personal income tax grows in 2012
Hungarians filed personal income tax returns for HUF 1,357 billion (approximately €4.52 billion) last year, about HUF 150 billion more than in the previous year, National Tax and Customs Office (NAV) deputy head Árpád Varga said at a press conference on Friday.
The personal income that was reported climbed almost HUF 400 billion to HUF 8,427.4 billion. Taxable income rose 5% while taxes rose 12%.
