Hungarian state-owned lottery company revenue climbs 14%
Hungarian state-owned lottery company Szerencsejáték Zrt. acquired a revenue of HUF 243.3 billion last year, performing approximately 14% better than in 2012, Hungarian business daily Világgazdaság published on Wednesday.
Ban on slot machines from all public places but casinos might have attributed to Szerencsejáték’s revenue increase as well as real household incomes.
The company paid HUF 62.5 billion on taxes and HUF 8.5 billion in dividend to the state on last year's earnings. HUF 21.4 billion of the HUF 46 billion revenue was spent on supporting culture, film and sports.
The growing tendency of their revenue might be soothing the company’s dissapointment over not winning casino concessions at all.
