BUX eases in light morning trade

The Budapest Stock Exchange blue-chip BUX index was down 0.5% in light, hectic trade at noon on Friday as many BSE investors idled in a wait-and-see mode ahead of Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke's policy speech at 3:00 p.m., Central European Time.

The BUX commenced afternoon trade 93.82 points lower at 17,678.85 on a composite exchange turnover of HUF 1.45 billion.

The four blue chip stocks stood as follows at Friday noon:

Drugmaker Richter was down 0.9% at HUF 33,705 on a turnover of HUF 29 million

OTP Bank was down 0.8% at HUF 4,047 on an exchange-high turnover of HUF 1.08 billion.

Magyar Telekom was down 0.80% at HUF 496 on a turnover of HUF 30 million.

Oil and gas group MOL was up 0.3% at HUF 16,150 on a turnover of HUF 266 million.
