Budapest Stock Exchange profit falls 39% in H1

The Budapest Stock Exchange (BSE) had first-half after-tax profit of HUF 523 million, down 39% from the same period a year earlier, the bourse said on Wednesday.

Revenue from exchange activities was down 15.5% at HUF 1.56 billion.

Operating costs rose 14% to HUF 974 million.

The bourse had net assets of HUF 5.965 billion on June 30, down about 5% from twelve months earlier.

Share turnover on the bourse fell to HUF 1,915 billion in H1 from HUF 3.293 billion in the same period a year earlier.
