The Hungarian government signed a “strategic cooperation agreement” with the local unit of consumer goods giant Unilever today at Unileverʼs household chemicals plant in Nyírbátor, northeastern Hungary, national news agency MTI reported.

On behalf of the government, state secretary László Szabó, and on behalf of Unilever, regional chief Harm Goossens signed the agreement.

Unilever, which has three plants in Hungary, considers the country an important production base for the long term, Goossens said.

We would like to offer that same opportunity to our readers. We would like to invite you to help us deliver the quality business journalism you require. Hit our Support the BBJ button and you can choose the how much and how often you send us your contributions.
