Strategic decisions in energy policy to remain in national competence, development minister says
Key strategic decisions on energy policy issues are to remain in national competence in the long term, National Development Minister Tamás Fellegi told MTI in Paris on Wednesday, following a two-day ministerial conference of the International Energy Agency (IEA).
The minister held talks on the possibilities of a safe and sustainable joint energy policy at the ministerial conference.
"While nobody contests the German government's right to decide whether it wants to use nuclear energy in the future, everybody objects to the way it decided to give up the use of nuclear energy without consultations, through an unexpected and unilateral move," the minister said.
