Research: Ice cream consumption up to 5 liters per person
Last year, ice cream consumption in Hungary saw a 1.5 liter rise to 5 liters per person, with 66% of households in the country buying ice-cream products, economic research institute GKI reported today.
Market research company Nielsen reported that ice cream sales in the country have already risen by 3.4% this year. Hungarian economic daily Világgazdaság reported today that, being a seasonal product, the demand is highest in summer. Despite a vast array of options, the most popular flavors remain vanilla, chocolate and strawberry.
