Oracle Corp. is in talks with the Hungarian government to expand its research and service hub in Budapest, the daily Világgazdaság reported, citing Juan Rada, Oracle's senior vice president. Oracle runs a database development center, a government software hub and a services support base in the Hungarian capital and wants to expand its Budapest operations to cover health-care software development, Rada said, according to Világgazdaság. Redwood City, California-based Oracle, the world's third largest software maker, follows companies such as Morgan Stanley, Robert Bosch and Elcoteq, which have pledged similar investments in Hungary in the past six months. The government is luring regional operations of foreign investors with tax incentives and financing support.
