Number of international conferences in Hungary up 8.8% yr/yr in H1
There were 200 international conferences held in Hungary in the first half of 2006, 8.8% more than in the same period a year earlier, according to figures compiled by the state tourism agency Magyar Turizmus Rt.
Three-fourths of the conferences were held in Budapest. About 69% of conference participants were foreigners, most of them from Germany, France and the UK.
