MNB: Budapest to host annual IOSCO conference in 2018

Following a successful application by the National Bank of Hungary (MNB), Budapest is set to host the annual conference of the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO) in 2018, the MNB said yesterday.

IOSCO is an international body that brings together the worldĘĽs securities regulators and is recognized as the global standard setter for the securities sector. IOSCO develops, implements and promotes adherence to internationally recognized standards for securities regulation.

IOSCO has more than 200 members from 110 countries. Its annual conference was held in the United Kingdom last year, it will be held in Peru in 2016 and in Jamaica in 2017.
