International Telecommunications Society starts regional conference in Budapest

The International Telecommunications Society (ITS) on Monday opened its annual regional conference in Budapest, Hungary's Telecommunications and IT Scientific Association, one of the event's organizers, told MTI.
The conference was opened by ITS chairman Prof Erik Bohlin of Chalmers University of Technology and Prof Gyula Sallai of the Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME), which is hosting the meeting.
Among the speakers were Gábor Mátrai, deputy chief of the National Media and Infocommunications Authority Hungary, and Magyar Telekom chairman-CEO Christopher Mattheisen.
Almost 200 professionals from 35 countries are participating at the conference which runs until Thursday.
