Gyurcsány calls for bold development plan for 2007-2013

Prime Minister Ferenc Gyurcsány told the inaugural meeting of the new National Development Council on Tuesday that he wanted to see a bold development program worked out for 2007-2013.
The plan must work out the most efficient way to spend the Ft 8 trillion (about €29 billion) available to Hungary for developments over the next seven years, Gyurcsány said.
The National Development Council is a new government body including representatives of Hungary's seven regional development councils, government officials and professionals. Gyurcsány said the government plans to put to parliament a draft law on restructuring the country's network of development-related administration by the autumn.
