Garment company Lux Gold lays off staff

Hungarian-owned garment company Lux Gold has laid off all of its workers, a union leader said at a press conference late Monday.

Eva Varga said the 180 workers at the company’s plant in Edeleny (NE Hungary) had not received their January wages.

MTI could not reach the company’s management for comment.

Lux Gold is owned by private individuals.
