Ecostat TOP-100 index drops 2% in June

Ecostat's TOP-100 index, which measures the confidence of Hungary's 100 biggest companies, fell 2 percentage points to 51% in June from May and was unchanged from a year ago.
The economic research firm said on Monday that optimism had toned down on expectations of a bigger budget deficit and unfavorable monetary developments. Optimism over the growth outlook for the second half of the year also moderated, Ecostat said.
