Áder addresses first Hungary-Vietnam rectors' conference

Conferences

The first conference of Hungarian and Vietnamese rectors began in Hanoi on Thursday with Hungarian President János Áder in attendance. Addressing the event, Áder said that there were 50 Vietnamese students studying on a grant and another 218 attending paid-for courses in Hungary.

The government has decided to offer scholarships to another 100 Vietnamese students from next year, he said, adding hope that the number of Vietnamese students outside the grant scheme would also increase. Áder said that Hungary would offer training opportunities to Vietnamese students in water management, health care, engineering, tourism and the pharmaceutical sector.
