TriGranit gets green light for €160 mln railway station in Poznan
Hungarian construction company TriGranit on Thursday said it was awarded a building permit for a EUR 160 millio railway station in W Poland.
The foundations of the station's platforms 1-3 were laid early in summer. The construction of the 5,500 square metre Poznan station building will take just a few months thanks to the use of prefabricated structures. Thus it will be completed in May 2012, in time for the European Football Championships, TriGranit said.
TriGranit is also building a 60,000 square metre shopping centre with 230 tenants that will be integrated with the train station. Poznan Glowny City Center will be completed in the second half of 2013.
The ground-breaking ceremony for the new station is slated for September.
