The Ft 3 billion investment is to be financed from several development program subsidies.

Municipality owned transport company Szegedi Közlekedési Kft is planning on building a passenger terminal at the Szeged Airport, Szeged deputy mayor Sándor Nagy confirmed. The Ft 3 billion investment is to be financed from several development program subsidies. As a consequence of the continuous expansion in the airport traffic, the board has decided to reconstruct 49 hectares of the total 150 hectares, which would serve industrial purposes, such as a giant logistics base, and a large storage facility. The next step of development would be to extend the runway, which will enable the reception of larger passenger and freight carriers. (Napi Gazdaság)
