Swissair to launch new Budapest-Basel flight

Swiss International Airlines will launch direct flights between Budapest international Ferihegy airport and Basel as of next January, the airport operator Budapest Airport Zrt announced on Thursday.

The new scheduled flights will be operated four times a week with an Avro RJ-100 aircraft from January 16.
The number of passengers between Hungary and Switzerland grew by 27.6% to 311,237 in 2005 compared to 2004, accounting for 3.6% of the total traffic at the airport, Budapest Airport said.
