Siemens Aktiengesellschaft, Siemens Transportation Systems S.A.S., and Siemens Zrt won the public procurement tender of Budapesti Közlekedési Zrt (Hungarian Transportation Plc) for supplying the equipment that provides electricity for the trains. The company will build the energy providing equipment and automatic train and station supervising system, controling 15 rtains, in the first phase on the 7.4 kilomteres long railway between Etele tér and Baross tér for € 108.85 million. Besides all these, winner would have to install IT and telecom network, optical and radio transmitting systems, the fire alarm system and power supply centers. Alstrom Transport SA., the M-Four-U consortium, Ganz Transelektro Közlekedési Zrt and a Sagem Magyarország also tendered, and asked € 107.035, a lower price than the winner. In previous news, Management forum says, the section of M4 should be finished, between Etele tér and Baross tér, till the end of 2009, and the line to Bosnyák tér to be done a year later.
