City

City transport developments worth HUF 40 billion will start at Békéscsaba (SE Hungary) in 2013, mayor Gyula Vantara told MTI.

The project includes the renovation of the Békéscsaba railway station and the city transport network.

The project, fully financed from government and European Union support, is related to EU-supported railway renovation works that will start on the line between Békéscsaba and Lőkösháza on the Romanian border in 2013.

The developments will enable rains running at a speed of 160 kilometers per hour on the line which is part of the 4th Paneuropean corridor.
