The renovation of the Nyugati Railway Station will continue, writes profitline.hu.

In addition to the renovation of the northwest tower on the Teréz körút facade, work is also planned for the southeast tower in February, Hungarian State Railways (MÁV) announced on its website this week.

According to its announcement, the work on the facade and the northwestern (subway-facing) tower is planned to last until the end of June. Work on the southeastern (fast food) tower is expected to last until November.

In the fall, the protective roof in front of the facade of Teréz körút, which obstructs pedestrian traffic, will be demolished.

With this, the iconic part of the building, which has significant architectural and technical value and is protected as a national monument, will be visible again undisturbed, MÁV wrote.
