MOL's green gas station in Buda wins award
A solar powered MOL gas station in Budapest's District XII was awarded the Energy Globe National Award (EGNA), the company reported on Tuesday.
The gas station in Istenhegyi út is a zero-carbon service station, built with recycled materials and an energy-generating heating system.
The Zsolt Zombori-designed station received the highest category (A) for energy efficiency, according to the announcement. Due to its creative uses of alternative energy resources, the station reduces carbon dioxide emissions by 190 tonnes a year, MOL said.
