MÁV Symphony Orchestra gives free concerts
Marking the last month of its 2017/18 season, the MÁV Symphony Orchestra gave free concerts at several Budapest locations from 3 p.m. on Saturday (June 2) in the afternoon and evening.
There was a brass band on Egyetem tér, playing Louis Armstrong numbers, a brass quintet at Kálvin tér, and a string quartet on Mikszáth Kálmán tér, entertaining the crowds sitting in various cafés.
Behind the Károlyi Palace, in the Károlyi Garden, a quartet played to the delight of adults and children alike. The celebration closed at 8 p.m. on Polláck Mihály tér with symphonic pieces.
