Lufthansa strike grounds most Budapest flights
All of German airline Lufthansa’s flights between Budapest and Frankfurt, and several flights between Budapest and Munich, with the exception of morning and evening flights, have been cancelled due to a strike by cabin crew, the departure and arrival information service of Budapest’s Liszt Ferenc International Airport announced today.
Approximately 950 passengers were affected by the cancellation of the arrival and departure of the seven flights, said Tamas Lichtenberger, Lufthansaʼs chief at Liszt Ferenc International Airport, according to Hungarian news agency MTI.
The strike is expected to last through Friday, MTI reported.
