Budapest Airport showing development plans at Expo Real in Munich
Budapest Airport Zrt, the company operating the capital's Liszt Ferenc International Airport, is showing its real estate development plans for the next 15 years in and around of the airport - with potential value of €300m - at the real estate fair Expo Real in Munich.
Investments worth €220m have been carried out at the airport since 2007, Budapest Airport said. Construction of 11,000sqm of warehouse space and 4,500sqm of office space is to begin next spring as part of phase one of the Cargo City project.
Plans include the establishment of a hotel directly connected to Terminal 2B. This would be built by a professional real estate developer and operated by an international hotel chain. Budapest Airport is also planning to establish an office park next to Terminal 2.
