WWII bomb defused in Budapest’s Infopark
Bomb disposal experts of the Hungarian Defence Forces defused a World War II bomb in Budapest’s Infopark last night, which was found during roadworks on the premises of the innovation and technology park, according to reports.

The area was closed for several hours before the defused bomb was taken away by authorities, Hungarian online daily origo.hu reported
The 500 kg bomb, which was uncovered during roadworks, was transported to a central collecting area in a convoy secured by the Hungarian police. The area was closed twice in June due to similar incidents.
The whole area was closed from 11 pm on Monday until half past midnight, said Edina Bátyi, communications officer of the Hungarian Defence Forces. After the closure was lifted, a total of 105 people were able to return to their offices, she said, adding that no residential areas needed to be evacuated.
