Ryanair announces two new routes to Budapest
From October, Ryanair will operate more flights from the UK to the Hungarian capital Budapest, making it easier than ever for UK tourists to explore this delightful city.
Ryanair has announced two more connections to Budapest from Liverpool and Glasgow. The new announcement takes the number of Ryanair’s budget routes to and from Budapest to five (East Midlands, Bristol, Bremen and now Liverpool and Glasgow).
The capital of Hungary is a beautiful city on the banks of the river Danube. It was created following the unification of the separate historic towns of Buda, Pest and Óbuda in 1873. The Castle District, the River Danube embankments and the whole of Andrássy út have been officially recognized as UNESCO World Heritage Sites and the inspirational sights from Castle Hill (Várhegy) leave countless visitors seeing the truth in the popular description of Budapest as being the ‘Pearl of the Danube.’
Ryanair flies into Ferihegy International Airport, located in District 18, 16km south east of the city centre and is connected by the M0 motorway. It serves 8.3 million passengers each year and a €261 million ($356 million) development plan for terminals 1 and 2 has been recently unveiled. (travelconnect.co.uk)
