New shopping center to open at Ferihegy

The construction of the Market Central shopping center has been started in Ferihegy, announced investment company AIG/Lincoln.
The 16-hectare park is located on the border of Budapest and Vecsés between Terminals 1 and 2 of the Budapest Airport Ferihegy. Tesco and Praktiker are to be the two main leaseholders, but several fashion shops, cafés and restaurants are to open in the shopping center as well.
As opposed to other multi-level shopping centers Market Central returns to the more traditional design with building a one-level shopping center. The official opening ceremony is expected to be held in October 2007. AIG/Lincoln was established in 1997 as a strategic association by the New York-based AIG Global Real Estate Investment Co and the Dallas-based Lincoln Property Company. (Magyar HĂrlap)
