Wage rise aims to maintain real value

A forum of employers, unions and the government on Tuesday agreed that net wages, across the board, should maintain their value adjusted for inflation. The agreement reached by the Private Sector and Government Permanent Consultation Forum does not contain an absolute figure for the wage rise, as is usual. The recommendation was made after "long but constructive" talks, said Ferenc David, who heads business association VOSz, and István Gaskó, the chairman of unions alliance Liga.
